Meet and Greet

Nursing Meet and Greet

Coastal Companion Care introduces caring, experienced caregivers to your family prior to their first scheduled visits. Before the first assigned shift, new caregivers “meet and greet” the family in the home where services take place. In situations where new caregivers are joining other caregivers on the family’s caregiving team, the primary caregiver -- who has a relationship, history and familiarity with all aspects of caring for your loved one -- attends the “meet and greet.”

During a “meet and greet,” a newly assigned caregiver experiences family members’ personalities and preferences and learns about the home environment, the individualized care plan (personal care, meal preparation, mobility assistance, medication reminders, dementia/ memory care, hobbies, pet care, housekeeping, travel), schedules and routines of care.

Sharing of information and friendly introductions at a “meet and greet” ensure a smoother transition and reinforce consistency and quality in the services we deliver in your home; the services you can trust.
